BINIBINING PILIPINAS 2024: "fEARFUL" FORECAST

 

A 60th anniversary of something is intended to be an auspicious milestone.  On the surface, the Bb. Pilipinas pageant is pulling out all the stops to celebrate this milestone, as gracing the occasion is the reigning Miss International from Venezuela, Andrea Rubio and this event is being hosted not only by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 1st runner-up Nicole Cordoves (who were doing a terrific job hosting the event since 2021), but they are joined by Miss Universe 2014 Top 10 semifinalist MJ Lastimosa, Miss International 2016 Kylie Versoza, and Miss World 1993 2nd princess Ruffa Gutierrez.

Admittedly, unlike the hype and excitement towards the candidates of Miss Universe Philippines, buzz over this jubilee batch has been relatively muted.  Still, I'll try my best to trot out a leaderboard and see who is most likely (or I deemed the best fit) to represent our country at next year's Miss International and this year's The Miss Global.

It seems to be a thrre-way battle for the two crowns at stake amongst 21 PAMPANGA (Jasmin Bungay), 30 PILA, LAGUNA (Trisha Martinez), and 33 PASIG CITY (Erika Cassandra Ballon) though several others are nipping closely at their heels.  Let's see how it all unfolds...
