MISTER WORLD 2024: AT THE HOMESTRETCH -- YELLOW TEAM (AFRICA)

After five long years, the grandest male pageant around, Mister World is being staged again.  This time it's held in Vietnam.  Despite some postponements, like from September to October, once they finally fixed on a date in November, the full itinerary was then revealed and it is filled with a host of varied activities that makes for a well-rounded experience.

Like in previous editions, this year's contestants are split into four teams--but unlike the strict alphabetical split in 2019, this time it's split by continental regions.  Typically the continental regions are presented as follows:  Europe, Americas, Africa, and Asia & Oceania.  But I'll put the African team first because they are actually the smallest roster with also the most no-shows from the so-called last confirmation.  One African made iseems to have an initial confirmation but then backed out:

GHANA - Richard Ouro-Tagba Kofi.

Six, in fact, were no-shows:

CAMEROON - Hendrix Allan Moth.

EQUATORIAL GUINEA - Abraham Mauvé.

GUINEA-BISSAU - Gabriel Monteiro.

LIBERIA - Bruce Erwin Schuler.

NIGERIA - Michael Mazi-Michael.

UGANDA - Shaun Micheal Alinda.

There wre nine mebers of this team that actually showed up, making the smallest team in this bunch.  Let's take a look at them starting with:

ANGOLA - Felipe Salvador Maria.

BOTSWANA - Vincent Gobuamang.  He is notable for winning the marathon leg of the Sports challenge, amassing enough points to be 5th place overall.

ETHIOPIA - Natnael Yazbec.

GUINEA - Djibril Cissé.

KENYA - Teddy Rossiter.

MAURITIUS - Govind Nagi.

SIERRA LEONE - Alhaji Hassan Mansaray.

SOUTH AFRICA - Samuel Chauke.

SOUTH SUDAN - Amac Mathiang Ater Apugi.

COMING UP:  THE BLUE TEAM (EUROPE)
